Tim Cole

Tim Cole obtained his BSc in physics from the University of Manchester in 2016 and his MSc in advanced mechanical engineering from the University of Birmingham in 2020. He enjoys running and outdoor swimming, and is an avid fan of Chesterfield F.C. His research interests include soft robotics and liquid metal embedded composites. 

Yuxin Zhang

Yuxin Zhang received his B.Eng (1st class honours) in Mechatronics Engineering from the Beijing Jiaotong University and the University of Wollongong in 2019. His research interest is microfluidics flowcytometry and modular microfluidics.

Jiahao Zheng

Jiahao Zheng obtained his B.Eng. in Mechatronics Engineering from the Beijing Jiaotong University and the University of Wollongong in 2019 and his MSc in Intelligent Building Technology and Management from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2020. Hongda Lu

Hongda Lu received his B.S. in Measurement and Control Technology and Instruments in 2018 from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC, China). He is currently a PhD student at the University of Wollongong (UOW, Australia) under the guidance of Professor Weihua Li. His research focus is on the development of the integrated and modular systems for synthesising liquid metal nanoparticles and composites and the exploration for the applications of these materials.

Bayinqiaoge received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), in 2017 and 2021, respectively. His current research focuses on biomedical devices and microfluidics.

Prof. Jinhong Guo

Jinhong Guo received a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chengdu, China in 2010 and a PhD degree in biomedical engineering from the Nanyang Technological University in 2014. Currently, he is a full professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. China. After his doctoral studies, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Pillar of Engineering Design at MIT-SUTD Singapore from 2014 to 2015. He then worked as a Visiting Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor from January 2016 to July 2016. His current research focuses on electrochemical sensors and lab-on-a-chip devices for the Point-of-Care Test toward clinical use. He is a recipient of the China Sichuan Thousand Talents Plan for Scholars Award (2015) and Chengdu Expert in Science and Technology Award (2015). He has published over 100 publications in SCI journals such as IEEE TII, TBME, TBioCAS, Analytical Chemistry, Biosensor and Bioelectronics etc.

Guoqiang Li

Guoqiang Li received his B. Eng. and M. Eng. in Materials Science and Engineering from Southwest University and Harbin Engineering University, respectively. Now, he is a Ph.D. student at the Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) under the guidance of professor Xing Ma. He is focusing on the research of 3D structured electronics, strain sensors, and stretchable conductors using Ga-based liquid metal.

Jian Shu

Jian Shu received his B.S. in Mechanical design, manufacturing and automation in 2017 from Anhui University, Hefei, China. He is currently a PhD student at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) under the guidance of Professor Shiwu Zhang. His research interests include liquid metal enabled robots, microfluidics platforms and electronic devices.
